We check your coverage
At the start of each appointment we verify your coverage, if you have it, and give you an estimate of any out-of-pocket cost. Dr. McFerran is a Premier Provider with Delta Dental, and the office also bills Blue Cross Blue Shield, MetLife, Cigna, Aetna, Humana and Ameritas.

Your exam and cleaning
The exam looks at your teeth and gums and includes an oral cancer screening. The cleaning removes plaque and tartar and finishes with a polish, with tips for brushing and flossing at home. If you feel nervous, ask about laughing gas.

Your plan, and your next visit
You leave with clear treatment options and a next visit in six months. You can pay by cash, check or card, set up a payment plan before treatment, or use Cherry or CareCredit financing. Membership plans start at $29 a month.

Nervous about the dentist?
You are not the only one, and it is fine to say so when you book.
For patients who feel nervous or scared, the office offers laughing gas, which works within minutes and lets most adults drive themselves home, and oral sedation, for which you bring someone to drive you.
After years of dental trauma and avoiding the dentist, eveyone at summit has been so warm and welcoming and reassuring of your fears. I appreciate all them and putting up with me!

Bringing your children
Summit Pointe cares for the whole family, children included.
The Child Wellness Plan, for children 12 and under, covers two child cleanings a year with fluoride, an exam and oral cancer screening with each cleaning, a set of bitewing X-rays and an emergency exam, for $29 a month or $299 a year.
